- Patrol/No1 - Royal Signals L/Cpl 1940s? (37")
Royal Corps of Signals L/Cpl No.1 Blues Uniform (believed 1940s)
A Royal Corps of Signals No1 blues/patrol uniform, consisting of tunic and trousers. Jacket has brass "Royal Corps of Signals" buttons on rings, bi-metal kings crown collar dogs/"Jimmys", Lance Corporal No1 chevron to right arm, a Long Service/Good Conduct stripe/badge to left cuff (2 years LSGC). Trousers are high backed, button fly and waist fastening with braces buttons. Neither Jacket or trousers are labelled. Believe this to be 1940's.
Sizes: Jacket approx 36/37" chest. Trousers 34" waist.
Chest Width (laid flat): 19"
Jacket Waist (width, laid flat): 16"
Trouser waist: 34"
Condition: Jacket - intact, strong, and no noticeable holes/damage or serious marks. Noticeable wear to inner collar and collar fasteners rusty. Buttons and collar dogs in good conditon. Stripes fading. Trousers - generally intact and damage free, with exception of a partial repair to lower left leg inside hem (visible in last photo). Not particularly noticeable unless closely inspected. Both items are creased, and have accumulated general storage dirt. Would benefit from a dry clean/press which should restore them to a very presentable condition for collection/display.
Braces - if required pls select as an option when ordering.
