A moth damaged Royal Navy Number 1 uniform ranked to a Surgeon Commander, consisting of jacket and trousers (shirt/tie not included, cap available as option). Jacket has Commander's lace with the red backing of the medical branch, QC RN officer's buttons and ribbon for the South Atlantic (Falklands) Medal. Trousers are zip fly with hook/eye waist fastening and belt. Both items have moth damage - see details below.
Condition: Jacket - lace is bright and unfaded. Jacket has noticeable white marks which will probably come out with a dry clean, worst area is near left hem (see photo). Trousers are clean. Zip is sticky but operable. Both jacket and trousers have however been attacked by moths. Trousers have one hole of approx. 12mm x 7mm to crotch, visible in photos. Covered by jacket but very visible without jacket. There are a couple of pin-head sized moth holes elsewhere. The jacket has a hole of approx. 3mm diameter to rear shoulder (see photo), a couple of similar or smaller sized holes to each arm/elbow, and one to lapel (pictured). Elsewhere there are a few less noticeable pulls to the material.
We have several RN caps available. Please check the Royal Navy section for details or select from options above.
