QARANC Officer's Greatcoat British Queen Alexandra's Royal Army Nursing Corps officer's greatcoat. In soft blue/grey "crombie" type wool, with staybrite queens crown QARANC buttons. By Boyd Cooper Lld of London.
Condition: Average. Although strong and wearable, this coat has a fair amount of moth tracing to surface of material, some moth holes, and considerable/noticeable yellowish marks, particularly to back (see photos). Not sure what the yellow marks are, or whether they will clean out or not, the photographs are a fairly accurate representation (most evident in photos 8,11,12 & 13). The moths have left tracing to the wool surface over most areas of the coat. Worst affected are the lower left front from pocket to hem (which also has 2 holes of approx 1cm length, see last photo). There are smaller moth holes to collar/epaulette, arm, shoulder seam etc. The moth tracing is extensive.
