Flying Jacket, USAF B3 type
A US B3-style leather flying jacket. Soft leather, wool lined. Zip front, two straps to neck. Two pockets. Made in Uruguay. Labelled "Type B3, SWP No 2104401441, UR Contract 822103, Aviation Co. Air Force Jacket. US Army Style".

Date:      Unknown. Believed to be 1970s.

Size:       Very approx will fit a 38/40" chest. Measurements are:

Chest Width (laid flat):     24"

Shoulder:                         21"

Waist (width, laid flat):     20"

Length:                            25"

Sleeve:                            26"

Condition:      Generally appears to be strong and wearable. However there is a very obvious tear to the left shoulder (see photo #8). This is a tear, there is no missing material, it pulls back together and could be repaired. There is a second smaller tear to the waistband below left pocket (see photo #9), and a couple of areas to the shoulder and arm seam where leather is wearing through. Tab is missing from zip, replaced with piece of string.
