RAF Group Captain Pilot No.1 Uniform. A No.1 Service Dress uniform (includes jacket, trousers, shirt, tie and belt). With Group Captain ranking, Jacket has QC Staybrite buttons, a pilot's brevet/"wings" and ribbon for a pre-'62 General Service Medal. Cloth belt with staybrite silver buckle. Matching No1 trousers with zip fly, hook/eye waist fastening and side waist adjusters. A blue RAF airman's shirt and black issue tie are included. Officer's cap not included but available as an option. Date: Undated Sizes: Jacket approx 37/39" chest. Trousers approx 34" waist. Actual measurements are: Chest Width (laid flat): 20" Shoulder: 18" Jacket Waist (width, laid flat): 18" Length: 31" Sleeve: 25" Trouser Waist: 34" (2" to let out) Inside Leg: 30" (+1.5" to let down) Shirt: Select from options. Condition: Jacket in good condition other than a small tear of approx 8mm x 3mm to left elbow (see photo #12). Trousers in good condition other than a hole of approx 3mm diameter to outside of lower left leg, and a discrete period repair/strengthening to crotch seam. Although quite wearable as is, there is some light ingrained storage dirt and a slight musty smell in places, a dry clean would brighten up.
