Denison Airborne Smock A "Smock Denison Airborne Troops" by BMC. Dated 1959 this is very similar to WW2 pattern smocks with full length zip conversions - it would appear to be an early '59 pattern smock made from older/warime stocks of Denison material. Newey press studs in excellent condition, full length metal zip, khaki coloured flannel neck, plastic economy buttons to epaulettes, knitted cuffs. Labelled "Smock Denison Airborne Troops, Size 4, BMC 1959". WD broad arrow marked.
Tunic: Labelled 39" to 41" chest, Height 5'6 to 5'8. Actual chest size is approx 48", bear in mind this is designed to be worn over battledress/webbing. Measurements are:
Chest Width (laid flat): 25"
Waist (width, laid flat): 26"
Condition: Generally very good - clean and free from damage other than a few small and discrete marks and a few small "pulls" to the material here and there. The only really noticeable mark is to right breast pocket flap (see photo #4). Zips/press studs fully operable.
