A RAF War Service Dress New Pattern battle dress blouse dated 1951, and later "Trousers Mens RAF ORs" BD trousers. Blouse has black plastic Kings Crown RAF buttons to pockets, plain black buttons elsewhere. Embroidered Engineer's half-brevet, Sgt's chevrons with aircrew eagles, and RAF eagles to shoulders. Blouse by Raper & Bainbridge Ltd Trousers are button fly, hook/eye waist fastening, with rear hip pocket and braces buttons to front (rear buttons missing). A modern airman's blue shirt and black tie are included. Blouse available separately, please contact us if required.
Date: Blouse 1951. Trousers undated but later (1960s?).
Sizes: Blouse labelled: chest 39/40"; Height 5'11 to 6'10, Waist 36". Would fit a chest upto about 42/43" - Actual blouse measurements are:

Condition: Blouse in very good condition. Clean. Only defect is 1 small moth hole approx 2mm x 2mm in centre of back. Trousers in generally very good condition although they have a cluster of around half a dozen moth holes (maximum 2mm x 2mm) to either lower leg, and a couple of similar holes to crotch. None are especially noticeable. Hems have been let down twice and left creases.Rear 2 braces buttons are missing.
