Mess Uniform - RGBW S/Sgt
British Army Royal Gloucester Berkshire & Wiltshire Regiment NCO's mess uniform consisting of jacket, bib/waistcoat and trousers. Jacket is scarlet wool with blue facings, gold edging, gold cord epaulettes with staybrite RGBW buttons, RGBW collar dogs, Staff Sergeant rank insignia and ACF shoulder titles (easily removed). Bib is blue wool with red lining. It is backless, with elastic strap at neck, and a short piece of elastic sewn at rear waist (this is sewn at both ends, requiring bib to be pulled over head to put on). High-backed No1 trousers have 1" scarlet stripes, button fly and waist fastening and braces buttons.

Size:          Approx 42/44" chest. Trousers approx 35" waist. Actual measurements are:

Condition:  In reasonable/wearable condition. Clean and free of significant damage, although the jacket shows some fading/wear to collar/cuffs, and the epaulettes are faded/dirty. The neck elastic of the bib is stretched, and the waist elastic has been stitched at both ends. The small white marks on chest are white cotton, stitched on to secure mini-medals - can be easily unstitched/removed.
