Officer's WW2 Winter Tank Boots? We believe these to be an officer's private purchase winter tank boots, although cannot be certain of this. All-leather uppers with thick sheepskin lining. Pull-on tabs at sides. Leather soles stitched and nailed to uppers. Labelled "Made by Cotton Oxford Shoemakers, Leicester, 7 507"
Date: Undated. Believed to be 1940s.
Size: Approx size 7. Definitely no more than that.
Condition: Generally good. Leather uppers are in very good condition. Leather is aged and creased, but supple and not cracked at all. Lining in very good condition. Soles are intact but heel is starting to part on one boot (see photo). Not about to fall off, but would require some cobbler attention if to be worn.
Ideal as a collectors item, or for occasional wear. Not recomemded for regular use without attention to soles.
