RCN Commander No1 Uniform
A Royal Canadian Navy officer's doeskin Number 1 uniform ranked to a Commander with Shipwright/Construction Branch silver/grey distinction cloth, consisting of jacket and trousers (shirt/tie/cap not included, caps usually available as an option). Jacket has RCN Cdr's lace, "Canada" shoulder titles and King's crown RCN officers' buttons. Trousers are high-backed and have button fly/waist fastening and braces buttons.

Date:        Labelled "L/5/44" which we believe to be 1944.

Sizes:       Jacket approx 37/38" chest. Trousers approx 34" waist. Actual measurements are:

Chest Width (laid flat):  20"

Shoulder:                     17.5"

Jacket Waist                18" (buttoned)

Length:                         27.5" (short)

Sleeve:                         23"

Waistcoat Waist:          17"

Trouser waist:               34" (nothing" to let out)

Inside Leg:                    29.5" (+1.5" to let down)

Condition:       In very reasonable condition. Damage free. No stains or obvious marks although there are some light marks here and there which may clean out. Some wear/fading, particularly around pocket edges. 1 fly button missing.
