Royal Lincolnshire Regt. Capt.Battledress A bespoke tailored British Army '49 Pattern Battledress uniform consisting of blouse and trousers (shirt, tie, braces not included but available as options). Blouse by H.Edgard & Sons dated 1964, with original "Royal Lincolnshire" shoulder titles and infantry Captain's stars to both epaulettes. Trousers also by Edgrads dated 1964.
A contemporary wool shirt, and a modern wool tie/braces can be added as options. Various '37 pattern belts and anklets are available on the website.
Blouse/Trousers are a genuine set direct from estate of the original owner, a regular Sgt in the Royal Lincs who passed through reserves and into TA as a commissioned officer.
Blouse labelled Breast 44", Waist 41.5". Actual measurements are:
Chest Width (laid flat): 24
Jacket Waist: 20"
Trousers labelled Height 6'2 1/2, Waist 41.5", Seat 46", Leg 32". Actual measurements are:
Trouser Waist: 39"
Inside Leg: 31"
Condition: Generally very good. Blouse clean and damage free other than a couple of 2mm holes under one arm. Trousers are clean and mainly damage free although there are 2 small (approx 2cm) areas of wear/holes to inside upper thighs just below crotch (see photo #14), and area with four 3mm moth holes to lower left leg (see photo #15 ) and 2 missing buttons (rear belt loop and rear blouse fastener).
