RAF Corporal No1 Uniform 1948
A 1948 dated RAF Airman's serge No1 uniform (includes jacket, trousers, belt and braces). Jacket has King's crown brass buttons, Corporal's rank chevrons, embroidered RAF eagles. Serge belt not an exact match to jacket. Trousers have braces buttons (brass, with 1 plastic replacement) and button fly/waist. Braces are original to uniform.

Date:        Jacket 1948. Trousers 1950

Sizes:      Jacket approx  34/35" chest. Trousers approx 31" waist. Actual measurements are:

Chest Width (laid flat):             18"

Shoulder:                                 16"

Jacket Waist (width, laid flat):  16"

Length:                                     28"

Sleeve:                                     23"

Trouser Waist:                          31"  (+1" to let out)

Inside Leg:                               29" 

Condition:    In generally good condition. Jacket has no marks/stains, just some age-related ingrained dirt. Essentially damage free other than a few small (approx 3mm) moth holes to rear skirt, not particularly noticeable. Trousers have a moth hole approx 15mm x 8mm to inner thigh (see photo #14). Otherwise damage free and basically clean, just some ingrained dirt to thigh areas.
