Mess Uniform - RAPTC WO1
British Army Royal Army Physical Training Corps NCO-pattern mess dress uniform consisting of jacket, waistcoat and trousers (shirt/tie not included, shirt usually available as an option). Red wool jacket with black facings has bi-metal RAPTC collar dogs, Warrant Officer Class 1 rank and PTI qualification badge. Black wool waistcoat is full-backed and has staybrite RAPTC buttons and rear waist adjuster. High-backed fitted-leg trousers have button fly, hook/eye waist fastening, braces buttons, 2" stripe and (very short) leather under-boot straps.

Date:      1998

Sizes:    Jacket approx 40/41" chest. Trousers approx 36" waist. Actual measurements are:

Chest Width (laid flat):         21"

Shoulder:                             18"

Length:                                20"

Sleeve:                                23"  (short)

Waistcoat Waist (laid flat):   19"

Trouser waist:                      36" (nothing to let out)

Inside Leg:                           32" (+1.5" to let down)

Condition:     Jacket in very good condition. Minimal wear. Damage free. Essentially very clean although on the back across shoulders there some red marks (dozens of small red marks slightly darker than the jacket, possibly wine/port splashes). Not immediately obvious and not a major detraction. Trousers clean and damage free but slightly more "tired" than jacket. Waistcoat front is good, rear has some damage - pulls/tears to rear silk at collar and around waist adjuster (see photos). Not seen under jacket and can be repaired.
