Royal Artillery 1935 Mess (Jkt/Wstct)
A Royal Artillery 1935 dated officer-pattern mess uniform consisting of jacket and waistcoat (no trousers). Jacket is black wool with red facings, by Hawkes & Co Ltd, with Army Air Corps pilots "wings". Cuff and epaulette buttons are original brass King's crown Royal Artillery buttons. The front buttons have been changed to staybrite Queen's crown Royal Horse Artillery ball-buttons, however the original 8 brass KC RA buttons are included. Jacket has modern staybrite Captain's rank stars/pips. Waistcoat is original to jacket and has brass RA buttons and rear waist adjuster.

Chest Width (laid flat):              18"

Shoulder:                                  15.5"

Jacket Waist (width, laid flat):    n/a, worn open.

Length:                                       21"

Sleeve:                                       25"

Waistcoat waist:                         16"   (max 30/31" waist)

Condition:           Good condition. Only light wear. A couple of superficial marks. The only damage is a small area of loose/strained stitching on the rear shoulder seam, and a thin moth track to one arm (see photos).
