RAF Sqn Leader AE No1 Uniform
An RAF No.1 Service Dress uniform (includes jacket, trousers & belt). Jacket has Squadron Leader's rank, staybrite QC buttons, Air Engineer's half-brevet, parachute qualification "wings" (strangely) and belt with brass buckle. Tousers are zip fly with hook/eye waist fastening, belt loops (modified with addition of elastic) and side waist adjusters. (Cap/braces/shirt/tie not included but usually available as options)

Date:      1961

 Sizes:   Jacket approx 37/38" chest. Trousers approx 32" waist. Actual measurements are:

Chest Width (laid flat):            20"

Shoulder:                                17"

Jacket Waist (width, laid flat):  17"   (max 32/33" waist)

Length:                                     29"

Sleeve:                                     23"

Trouser waist:                          32"  (+0" to let out)

Inside leg:                                27.5" (+1" to let down)

Shirt:                                      Select from options.

Condition:    Jacket and trousers are both quite wearable, but show general wear/aging/use and moth damage. Jacket has a moth hole under right arm (approx 5mm diameter), wear/fraying to inner edge of collar, group of moth holes along lower edge of jacket (covering approx 6cm), 3 holes to right of buttons (approx 3mm), right arm has 5 moth holes (largest approx 4mm) and several moth nips. Armpits are slightly "musty". Trousers have no holes/damage or specific stains although there is general fading/ingrained dirt to knee/thigh/seat areas. Some trouser belt loops have had elastic "extensions" added. 

Shirt will be in good used condition (may have some light marks/signs of use). Tie will be new/unused.
