RAF Wg.Cdr. Pilot Mess Uniform
A RAF mess uniform ranked to a Wing Commander. Consists of jacket, trousers and waistcoat. Has Wg.Cdr. rank lace, pilots brevet/"wings", mounted Queen's crown buttons and link (1xRAF 1 xAAC). Waistcoat is full backed with mounted QC buttons and an insert in the back to increase size. Trousers are high backed with zip fly. Shirt/tie/braces not included but usually available as options.

Date:       Undated

Sizes:      Jacket approx 42/43" chest. Trousers approx 37" waist. Actual measurements are:

Chest Width (laid flat):            22"

Shoulder:                                18"

Jacket Waist (width, laid flat):  19" (when buttoned)

Length:                                    21"

Sleeve:                                    25"

Waistcoat waist:                      20" (max 38" waist)

Trouser waist:                         37" (nothing to let out)

Inside Leg:                              31" (+1" to let down)

Condition:    In good condition. Jacket has a few very discrete/light marks and minor/hard to spot surface moth nips (not holes) but otherwise clean and damage free. The photo shows one wiastcoat button missing - this has been replaced - waistcoat has all 4 buttons.
