Staffords Officer Mess
A British Army Staffordshire Regiment officer-pattern mess uniform consisting of jacket, waistcoat and trousers. Scarlet melton wool jacket with black facings and gilt trim, staybrite  Staffords buttons, removable double-cord mylar epaulattes, gilt collar badges and "glider". Waistcoat is full backed with zip to rear and side. Trousers are high backed "cavalry" style, leather foot straps, button fly, braces buttons, 1/4" scarlet stripe.

Date:     Jacket 1979.

Sizes:    Jacket approx 37/38" chest. Trousers approx 30" waist. Actual measurements are:

Chest Width (laid flat):          19.5"

Shoulder:                              16.5"

Waist (width, laid flat):           n/a

Length:                                  18"

Sleeve:                                   23"

Waistcoat Width (laid flat):     17"

Trouser waist:                        30.5" (+3" to let out)

Inside Leg:                             29" to instep  (+2" to let down).

Condition:      Good condition. Light wear/signs of use but clean and damage free. Only issue to note is the waistcoat rear aduster has had it's metal buckle replaced with a safety pin.
