Mess Uniform - KORBR Major
British Army King's Own Royal Border Regiment mess dress uniform consisting of jacket and trousers (shirt/tie not included, shirt available as an option). Red wool jacket with white piping by Gieves & Hawkes has embroidered Major's rank insignia and KORBR "glider". Trousers have button fly, hook/eye waist fastening, braces buttons, elastic underboot straps and 1/4" stripe.

Date:            1985

Sizes:           Jacket approx 36/37" chest. Trousers approx 37" waist. Actual measurements are:

Chest Width (laid flat):  19"

Shoulder:                      17"

Length:                          21"

Sleeve:                          24"

Trouser waist:                37" (nothing to let out)

Inside Leg:                     30"  (+2" to let down)

Condition:       In generally good condtion. No excessive wear. Holes/impressions on jacket lapels where KORBR collar badges and mini-medals previously fitted. A couple of small (max 2cm length) red wine/port marks on back. A single hole of approx 2mm on one elbow. Trousers in good condition. No specific damage or marks but could do with a clean/press just to liven them up. Elastic straps
