RANVR WW2 No1 Uniform Lt A WW2 Royal Australian Navy Volunteer Reserve officer's Number 1 barathea uniform ranked to a Lieutenant (shirt/tie not included, post-war cap available as option). Jacket has RANVR/RNVR Lieutanant's lace, King's crown RAN officer's buttons and ribbon for the '39/45 Star. Trousers are button fly with braces buttons.
Date: Undated but from the estate of an RANVR officer who served during WW2.
Sizes:Approx 37/39" chest. Actual measurements are:
Chest Width (laid flat): 20"
Jacket Waist (width, laid flat): 19" (max 36" waist)
Trouser waist: 35" (+2" to let out)
Inside leg: 31.5" (nothing to let down)
Condition: Jacket has no damage, just general wear and fading to the rank lace. However there are considerable marks, particularly to lower front (see photo). These do not look like stains - they appear as if they will either be removed or be consdierbaly reduced wuth a dry clean or careful sponging. Jacket has no odour but would but has a slightly "sticky" feel and would defini8tely benefit from cleaning.
Trousers have moth damage mainly to innde thighs (see photo). A cluster of half a dozen holes, largest approx 1cm x 5mm and a similar sized hole on the opposite inner thigh. 2 or 3 small (approx 5mm) period repairs. Various less noticeable smaller moth holes over lower legs,
