RAF Air Vice Marshal Pilot Mess 
A Royal Air Force air-officer's mess dress uniform consisting of jacket, waistcoat and trousers (shirt/tie/braces excluded). Jacket  has AVM rank, pilot's brevet/"wings" and mounted brass QC RAF buttons. Waistcoat is full backed with mounted QC brass buttons. Trousers (not very high-backed, no braces buttons) have zip fly, hook/eye waist.

Date:      Jacket 1983

Size:      Jacket approx 39/41" chest. Trousers approx 37" waist. Actual measurements are:

Chest Width (laid flat):        21"

Shoulders:                          17"

Waist (when buttoned):      19"

Length:                               23.5"

Arms:                                  25.5"

Waistcoat Waist:                19.5"

Trouser Waist:                    37" (+1.5" to let out)

Trousers Leg:                     33.5" (+1.5" to let down)

Condition:     Generally only light wear. Noticeble wear to lower edges of labels as is often the case with these items. Otherwise clean and damage free, Rank lace is bright with very little fading.
