Royal Artillery Major Mess
A Royal Artillery  officer-pattern mess uniform consisting of jacket, waistcoat and trousers. Jacket is black wool with red facings with mounted Queen's-crown Royal Artillery buttons and Major's rank. Waistcoat has brass RA buttons and rear waist adjuster. Trousers are high-back with zip fly, leather under-boot straps, braces buttons and 2" stripes.

Size:       Jacket approx 44/45" chest. Waist approx 42". Actual measurements are:

Chest Width (laid flat):              23"

Shoulder:                                  17.5"

Jacket Waist (width, laid flat):    n/a, worn open.

Length:                                       23

Sleeve:                                       25.5"

Waistcoat waist:                         22"   (max 42" waist)

Trousers Waist:                          42" (+2" to let out)

Inside Leg:                                 33.5" (to instep, +3" to let down)

Condition:           Generally very good condition. Only light wear. Clean and damage free. Only issue to note is the red lapels of the jacket are slightly faded.
