Indian Medical Service Lt Col
A rare Indian Medical Service officer's mess jacket. Black wool with gold edging, ball details, velvet collar/cuffs and Lieutenant Colonel rank on detachable epaulettes.

The buttons themselves are collectable and worth at least £5 each.

Date:       Unclear. Believed to be 1930s

Size:       Jacket approx  36/38" chest. Actual measurements are:

Chest Width (laid flat):              19.5"

Shoulder:                                  15"

Jacket Waist (width, laid flat):    n/a, worn open.

Length:                                       19"

Sleeve:                                       23.5"

Condition:           Poor/aged condition. A large hole on front (approx 1cm diameter).is the only actual damage. The jacket is generally faded with age. A few minor marks/spots but nothing major. A gentle clean may refresh it a little.
