Indian Medical Service
A rare Indian Medical Service mess jacket. Black wool with black facings. Red piping. Velvet cuffs. Gilt IMS buttons. Tailored in Simla by A E Jones & Co.

The buttons themselves are collectable and worth at least £5 each.

Size:       Jacket approx  37/39" chest. Actual measurements are:

Chest Width (laid flat):              20"

Shoulder:                                  17"

Jacket Waist (width, laid flat):    n/a, worn open.

Length:                                       19.5"

Sleeve:                                       23.5"

Condition:           Worn/aged condition. 5 or 6 moth holes across the upper back (largest approx 5mm diameter) and several more smaller pin-head sized holes. Minor spots/small marks but nothing significant. Jacket is generally a little "tired"/aged. Holes in shoulder straps where rank fitted. Pin-holes on lapel where mini-medals worn.
