RAF No1 Flight Lieutenant KC
A modern/post-war RAF officer's No1 Home Service dress uniform that has been altered to an approximation of a WW2 uniform, for reenactment/1940s weekends etc. Jacket has modern Flight Lieutenant's rank and period brass King's crown buttons. A 4th button has been added but this really needs to be moved to below the belt. The belt is not an exact match to the jacket has a brass-effect buckle. Modern No1 dress trousers are zip fly with hook/eye waist fastening.

Size:     Approx 50" chest. Waist 46" Actual measurements are:

Chest Width (laid flat):     27"

Shoulder:                         20"

Waist (width, laid flat):     26.5" 

Length:                            31"

Sleeve:                            24"

Trouser waist:                  46" (+1" to let out)

Inside Leg:                      30" (nothing to let down)

Condition:         Good condtion. Light wear. Clean and damage free. There is a faint mark above the left breast pocket where a brevet was previously fitted. This will brush out with a little effort. Trouser hems had been taken up and could do with ironing/pressing. The buttons have been added very close to the edge of the jacket, you may wish to move them in a little to improve the fit/look of the jacket. The 50" chest measurement allows for the buttons being moved a little. As it is/without moving the buttons the jacket could fit a little larger than 50".

Shirts will be in good used condition (light wear but clean and damage free). Tie will be new.
