RN Commander Mess Uniform
A Royal Naval officer's doeskin Number 2 mess uniform ranked to a Commander, consisting of jacket, waistcoat and trousers (shirt/tie/braces not included, shirts/braces usually available as an option). Jacket has Commander's rank and Queen's crown RN officers' buttons and links. Waistcoat is full-backed with rear waist adjuster. Trousers have zip fly, hook/eye waist fastening and braces buttons.

Sizes:   Jacket 40" to (just) 42" chest. Trousers approx 38" waist. Actual measurements are:

Chest Width (laid flat):       21.5"

Trouser waist:                    38" (+2" to let out)

Inside Leg:                         31.5" (+1.5" to let down)

Condition:         Jacket has a small and reasonably discrete area of surface moth tracing (not hole) to lower lapel (see photo) and a couple of smaller surface traces near one elbow. Waistcoat clean & damage-free. Trousers have received moth attention down right inner thigh (see photo) - approx two dozen holes, maximum 4mm, most 2 to 3mm diameter, surrounded by areas of surface moth tracing. A piece of black cloth behind would disguise.
