Duke of Wellington Regt WO1 SD Uniform
A Duke of Wellington's Regiment (West Riding) service dress uniform consisting of jacket, trousers and cloth belt (shirt/tie/Sam Browne/braces not included but available as options). Jacket has Warrant Officer Class 1 rank badges to both cuffs (KC and QC, see below), staybrite DWR buttons and collar dogs, and ribbons for the Defence Medal, War Medal, Korea Medal, UN Korea Medal, a Campaign Service Medal (pre '62), and a Long Service/Good Conduct Medal. SD trousers are button fly, hook/loop and button waist fastening, button down belt loops, adjustable waist, and belt loops. This uniform has some damage (see below) but the description sounds worse than it looks - despite the moth holes it is an interesting item with a great WW2/Korea medal ribbon set. Unusually it also has both Kings crown and Queens crown WO1 badges, indicative of the time-frame covered by this man's service.

Sizes:               Jacket approx 38/39" chest. Trousers 33" waist. Actual measurements are:

Chest Width (laid flat):   20"

Shoulder:                       18"

Waist (width, laid flat):    18"

Length:                           29"

Sleeve:                           24"

Trouser waist:                33.5" (+1" to let out)

Inside Leg:                     30.5" (+1.5" to let down)

Condition:   Jacket/trousers both in reasonable condition although have suffered some moth damage. Jacket has around a dozen small holes (approx 1 to 2mm diameter over the left arm, a larger hole approx 8mm x 3mm on left arm/cuff (see photo 13) and around half a dozen small holes (approx 1 to 2mm to left skirt around pocket (largest shown in photo 15). Trousers have a few very small (approx 1mm dia) holes to left pocket area, two larges holes to crotch (largest approx 10mm x 2mm, see photo 11) and a hole approx 3mm diameter to lower leg, 1 hem is slightly worn/frayed. In addition, the "hook" of the hook/eye waist fastening has been replaced with cotton thread, and 1 of the 2 waist buttons is missing (waist fastening has been moved slightly to let out the trousers, so they are out of line woth the fly by around an inch.

Shirts are new in packet. Ties are new. Braces will have signs of use but damage free. Sam Brownes are used and condition varies.
