A British Army '49 Pattern Battle Dress uniform consisting of blouse and trousers (shirt, tie, braces, belts available as options). Blouse is by Prices Tailors Ltd dated 1952, with embroidered oyal Artillery shoulder titles and 43rd (Wessex) Division formation patches. Trousers are '49 Pattern BD trousers, select from options. A contemporary wool shirt, and a modern wool tie/braces can be added as options. Various '37 pattern belts and anklets are available on the webshop.
Date: Blouse 1952. Trousers as described.
Blouse: Labelled Size 8. Height 5'7-5'8, Breast 37"-38", Waist 32"-33". Actual measurements are:
Chest Width (laid flat): 20"
Jacket Waist: 16.5"
Trousers: Select from options.
Condition:Blouse - Clean, with some moth damage, mainly to lower back. Approx 8 holes in a group, largest is approx 10mm x 5mm (see photo #11). There is a single hole approx 12mm x 8mm under the left arm/armpit, and a small (2mm diameter) nip to right arm just below 43rd Div badge (visible in photo #6). Trousers, expect light wear as standard. Minor moth damage (a few pinhead sized holes and/or surface tracing) likely to trousers unless stated otherwise. More noticeable/serious defects, if any, will be stated in options. Shirts. All in good used condition unless stated otherwise.
