State Ceremonial HC Tunic
An extremely rare Household Cavalry bandsman's State Dress "gold coat" ceremonial tunic as worn during formal state occasions when a senior member of the royal family is present such as the recent funeral of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, state visits etc.

A crimson velvet coat overlaid with broad gold lace. Blue velvet collar and cuffs. Buttons and insignia have been removed.

Size:          Approx 39/40" chest. Actual measurements are:

Chest Width (laid flat):               21"

Shoulder:                                   16.5"

Jacket Waist (width, laid flat):    18"

Length:                                      39"

Sleeve:                                      23"

Collar:                                       16.5"

Condition:     Reasonable/good condition. Buttons (3 on lower front and on each cuff) and royal insignia ("ER" and crown on front and back) have been removed before disposal by the MoD. The buttonholes have NOT been cut on this caot. There is the remains of sticky-tape on velvet on the front right sidem and less-visbily on the back. This could be removed with care and the correct process. A few loose threads/"pulls" to the gold lace but nothing signifcant. No other damage. Gold is bright with little fading.
